Carol Drummond and Tony Clark formed The Housing Executive in late 2002, meeting the need for a recruitment consultancy dedicated to managers and executives for the housing sector. Few companies are this specialised, however, we have been recruiting in housing for over 15 years (several of these as directors of the longest established social housing recruitment organisation).

Our personal approach has proved popular - our clients now range from large housing groups and local authorities to small housing associations, trusts, regulators, inspectors and developers. We have taken on some key people to manage this growth – including director Julie Kellaway, and consultant Tracy Nicholson – who also have a strong background in housing recruitment.

This combined experience in housing recruitment and a fundamental understanding of the sector allows us to focus on developing career options for management calibre individuals. We are interested in transferable skills, career progression and the paths available for increased job satisfaction and remuneration. We work to embrace the changes in the sector and support candidates who are transferring roles as well as those looking for fresh challenges. We recruit on a temporary, contract and permanent basis.
